Identify the thesis statement.

1) Music can be considered as a global language. With music, you don't really need words to express your emotions. Music also plays an important role in our daily lives, whether we realized it or not.  Recently, research has shown that music influences our mind, body and even personality. In simple words, music has the power to influence our lives (thesis statement).

 

2) Love can be a subjective subject (thesis statement). Love can be a mutual feeling. Love can be a one-sided feeling. Love can be considered as feeling that inspires others. Love can also means sacrifice. All in all, everyone have their own interpretation of the meaning of love.

Exercise 1 : Begin a story with "She remembered that day when Sam left".

• Introduction : She remembered that day when Sam left.

• Body :

  • ​When and what activity did she do with Sam that day?

    • ​Example: She was playing with Sam, her bestfriend, that lovely morning.

  • Where were they?

    • Example : Both of them were playing at the park, located right in front of their houses.

  • Why did Sam left?

    • Example : Sam's father got transferred to another city.

• Conclusion : Will they meet again?

 

Exercise 2 : Write a story about your first time the zoo.

• Introduction : How do you feel when you visit the zoo?

• Body : What did you see in the zoo?​

• Conclusion : Would you like to visit the zoo again?

 

Exercise 3 : Honesty is the best policy. Write about what this mean to you.

• Introduction : Define the statement in your own words.

• Body : A story about how this statement applies

• Conclusion : Do you agree with this statement?

Exercise 4 : You get three wishes. What will you wish for?

• Introduction : If I have the opportunity to have my wish granted, there are three things that I would wish for.

• Body : 

  • ​Wish 1 & reasons

  • Wish 2 & reasons

  • Wish 3 & reasons

• Conclusion : Give expectation if your wish really come true one day.

 

(using the brainstorming technique, idea mapping technique and listing technique, you should be able to get some of these points. However, other points are acceptable as long as they are relevant.)
