Types of Writing
There are several types of writing, which are:
1) Descriptive writing
As the name suggest, you need to describe vividly about a person, object, place or event using your five senses (sight, smell, touch, hear, taste). If you're trying to describe a person, object, place or event, ask yourself these questions:
-
What can you smell?
-
What can you taste?
-
What can you see?
-
What can you hear?
-
How do you feel? What can you touch?
The golden rules when writing a descriptive essay is to have at least THREE out of the five senses in each paragraph. In addition, remember to 'show don't tell' when writing a descriptive essay.
