Five Basic Tips for Writing Essay
First, find a topic that interests you.
It could be any topic. Perhaps you'd like to write about your pet cat or your goldfish? Maybe you'd like to write about your parents or siblings? Or are you the type of person that likes to write about fairy tales?
Neither the less, when you find a topic that cathes your interests, you can find ideas on how to write about it.
Second, try to limit the subject down to something that you have prior knowledge about.
Let's say that you want to write about owning a pet cat. If you have prior knowledge or experience of having a pet cat, put it into your essay to make it more interesting. It's better to write based on your own experience as it will be more real in your essay.
Third, you need a statement to grab the reader's attention.
You need to have a statement for your topic. Let's take the previous example. If you are writing about your pet cat, come up with a thesis statement that will immediately hook on your reader. "A persian cat is the best pet" can be the thesis statement that might cathes your reader's attention.
Fourth, ask "why" when you are writing your essay.
It is encouraged to ask yourself the "why" question as it helps you to elaborate and to highlight the details for your topic.
For example, you are writing about your pet cat. Why is the persian cat the best pet? "Persian cat is the best because they tend to get along with other pets easily" or "Persian cats are very playful" By doing so, you are elaborating the topic."
Fifth, conclude your essay.
Every essay needs a conclusion. Your conclusion should be brief and summarizes all the points that you have mentioned.
For example, "In a nutshell, persian cat is the best pet because they are playful and get along very well with other pets"
